This 1,668-piece brick-built replica captures the Tiger's defining characteristics with an engineer's attention to detail: the slab-sided hull, the angular turret, the overlapping road wheel bogies and the long 88mm barrel that made it formidable. Built in a distinctive deep mauve colourway, this is a model that commands a desk or shelf with the same authority the original commanded a battlefield.

The construction is structured around three interlocking sub-assemblies — the lower hull and running gear, the upper hull with all its surface detail, and the fully articulated turret. Each section is built independently before coming together into a single rigid model. As the build reveals, the internal architecture is as considered as the exterior: a detailed V-engine block, a functioning turret rotation mechanism and a correctly proportioned fighting compartment are all built into the structure before the outer panels close everything in. You build what's underneath because it matters.

Two functional features set this model apart from a static display piece. The turret rotates through a full 360 degrees on its internal race mechanism, and the gun barrel elevates and depresses on its trunnion mount — replicating the actual aiming geometry of the original tank. The individual track links, each assembled separately and joined into continuous runs on both sides, simulate the wide tracks that gave the Tiger I its characteristic ground pressure profile. Multiple spare track sections are mounted on the hull sides, exactly as they appeared on the original vehicle.

At 32.5 cm long, 13.5 cm wide and 12 cm tall, the finished model has genuine physical presence. The surface detail — bolted armour plates, tow shackles, commander's cupola, exhaust system, vision ports and tool mounts — has been reproduced at a level that rewards close inspection. This is a build for anyone who takes military history seriously in brick form.

Expert Note: Build and complete the track runs before closing the lower hull — it is significantly easier to tension and align the individual links while the running gear is still fully accessible. The turret rotation ring is a precision fit; take care with alignment during that sequence as it affects the smoothness of the finished mechanism.
